Church Family,
As you know COVID-19 is at the forefront of everyones minds and we have been monitoring the rapidly evolving situation. We want to act out of faith and not fear while also making choices that do not seem oblivious to the unrest and uncertainty around us. For that reason, we wanted to send you a message on how we are approaching our services this coming week.
Tomorrow, we will be having our 10am and 6pm services and on Wednesday, our midweek service at 7:30pm. You and your family are welcome to attend if you feel comfortable doing so. If you are vulnerable to the virus because of age or illness, or if you are simply uncomfortable gathering with a larger group, we encourage you to watch online and worship from home.
We ask that you feel absolutely no guilt if you choose to watch from home…but we do ask that you participate in the service with your family! Worship, sing, pray, and give together. We also ask the same if you choose to attend. Let’s have a great worship service tomorrow!
If you join us in person tomorrow, remember — no handshakes or high fives, but plenty of waves and smiles. The building has been deep cleaned and high traffic areas will be continuously cleaned and disinfected. We pledge to you that we will do all we can do to present a safe environment for you and your family.
We are taking this day by day in consultation with our leadership team as well as state and local officials. As there are currently no confirmed or presumed cases of the virus in West Virginia, this will be our plan for this week only. Please understand that the situation is fluid and may change by next weekend.
Tomorrow has been declared a National Day of Prayer, so we will gather to pray blessing and protection on our families, our city, our nation, and our world.
Blessings,
Chris & Vonda Sowards
